Gold casing, 7 oz chub. A smooth, rich pork liver pâté — dense and spreadable, meant for crackers, rye or crusty bread. The gold wrap and the "Gold Medal" name mark it as the flagship of the Schaller & Weber pâté line.
The ingredient list is unusually gentle for a liver pâté and reads more like a recipe than a formulation:
Pork, pork liver, sea salt, cane sugar, natural spices, honey, natural flavoring, cultured celery juice powder, cherry powder, natural vanilla extract.
Honey and real vanilla extract in a savoury pâté are what give it its rounded, faintly sweet finish. And like the Landjäger, it is cured with cultured celery juice powder and cherry powder rather than sodium nitrite.
30% of a day's iron in one 2 oz serving — liver is exceptional for iron, and this is one of the highest iron figures of any pâté we carry.
Ingredients
Pork, pork liver, contains 2% or less of: sea salt, cane sugar, natural spices, honey, natural flavoring, cultured celery juice powder, cherry powder, natural vanilla extract (vanilla bean extractives in water, alcohol 35%).
