It is meant to be diluted, roughly one part syrup to seven of water, and it is drunk cold in summer and hot in winter. Hot blackcurrant is the Norwegian answer to a cold, and the reason the bottle is in the cupboard rather than the fridge.

A 750ml bottle makes several litres, so the price per glass is small.
