Kosa — smoked cheese pulled into strands and plaited into a rope, torn off in strings and eaten with beer. A fixture of the Russian and Ukrainian snack counter.
Ingredients
Pasteurised skimmed milk, milk fat replacer (refined deodorised vegetable oils), emulsifier: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, antioxidant: tocopherol mixture concentrate, starter culture of lactic acid microorganisms, milk-clotting enzyme preparation, salt (contains anti-caking agent potassium ferrocyanide), sealant: calcium chloride.
Allergens
🚨 CONTAINS MILK.
ℹ️ The butterfat has been replaced with vegetable oil. The second ingredient is a milk fat replacer, which makes this a processed cheese product rather than a plain smoked cheese — worth knowing, since the front of the pack does not say so.
