Orange and almond is the oldest pairing in German Christmas baking, and here it is real orange — juice from concentrate, apple pulp and candied peel — making up 27% of the piece. The peel keeps a slight bitterness that stops the whole thing turning to sugar.

Contains alcohol. Made with Jamaica rum and orange liqueur.
