Dried fish is what beer is drunk with across most of Eastern Europe, and it is an acquired pleasure worth acquiring.

Tetya Sonya dried roach comes with the caviar still in it, which is the version people hold out for. AV Delicious do dried bigeye, saurida and calamari in small packets, salty and chewy and meant to be pulled apart by hand. Bakreu salmon jerky is the gentler entry point if none of this is familiar.
