Tamara Green Walnut Preserve, 31.75 oz (900g)

Whole young walnuts, picked green before the shell hardens, then cooked slowly in syrup until they are black, glossy and tender all the way through. A famous Armenian and Georgian delicacy, and one of the few preserves eaten a single piece at a time — with coffee, with cheese, or on its own.

Faintly bitter under the sweetness, warmly spiced, and nothing like a walnut out of a shell.
