Loose-leaf Ceylon black tea, OPA grade — Orange Pekoe A, a large twisted leaf rather than the dust that goes into teabags. Packed in Sri Lanka. A big, plain, everyday black tea that takes milk without collapsing, and makes good iced tea.

Brewing

One tablespoon (about 2 g) per pot, water at a full boil, three to five minutes. Serve hot or over ice.

Keeping it

Cool and dry. Once opened, tip it into an airtight tin — a 500 g bag lasts a long time and loose tea goes flat in a bag that is opened daily.
