Panettone built around tiramisu — the classic slow-risen Milanese dough, filled with a mascarpone-style cream in the tiramisu manner.

A flavoured panettone like this one is a dessert in its own right rather than something to put butter on. It wants nothing beside it except strong coffee, which is rather the point.

Serving it: cut in wedges from the top down so every slice gets both the dome and the filling. Serve at room temperature — straight from a cold room the cream is muted and you lose half of it.
