Armbruster Black Forest Extra Broad Noodles, 16.0 oz (454g)

Broad ribbons of German egg noodle from Armbruster, who have been making Spätzle and egg noodles in Willstätt, on the edge of the Black Forest, for generations. Wide enough to carry a heavy sauce — these are the noodles for goulash, for rouladen gravy, or simply buttered with browned onions.

• 8 to 9 minutes

Cooking

Four quarts of water and a tablespoon of salt per 16 oz of noodles. Bring to a rapid boil, add the noodles, stir often and simmer over low heat for 8 to 9 minutes. Drain and serve.
