Ginger and turmeric, and nothing pretending to be fruit. 56% ginger, 35% turmeric, a little liquorice root for sweetness — that is the whole recipe, and it is why the cup comes out sharp and golden rather than bland.

The liquorice matters: turmeric on its own is earthy and flat, and ginger on its own bites. The liquorice root bridges them without any sugar being added.

Caffeine-free, gluten-free and vegan. Teekanne has been blending in Düsseldorf since 1882, and the carton is Rainforest Alliance certified.

To make it: fresh, properly boiling water over the bag, and leave it 5 to 8 minutes — root infusions need the time. One bag per cup, at least three for a pot.
