Baked to European rules. Potassium bromate and azodicarbonamide, both used to treat flour in American baking, are not permitted in the European Union. Six food colours that are still common in American biscuits and iced cakes must carry a warning on the label here, so European bakers stopped using them. Titanium dioxide, used to make icing and coatings an opaque white, has been banned as a food colour in the EU since 2022. It is the same reason the ingredient list on the back of the pack is short.

Three individually wrapped packs of chocolate cream wafers with no added sugar — sweetened with maltitol and isomalt instead. Not a reduced-calorie food; it is the sugar that is gone, not the richness.
