Made to European food rules. In the EU every additive has to be authorised before it can go into food, and there is no route for a manufacturer to approve its own — in the United States there is. Potassium bromate is prohibited in flour here and azodicarbonamide is not authorised at all; both are still permitted in American baking. That is usually why the ingredient list on the back is shorter.

Semmelknödel — bread dumplings, made from diced white rolls with parsley and onion. Six of them. Lighter and more savoury than the potato kind, and the traditional thing to serve with mushroom sauce.

Simmer gently. Any left over should be sliced and fried in butter the next day; in Bavaria that is a dish in its own right.
